When we decided to create Crocheted bags – for every occasion, we knew the book had to be more than just a collection of patterns. We wanted to give the bags a setting – something they could belong to and be seen in. In the doll book, Paris set the scene. With the bag book, we wanted to take inspiration from our own city, Copenhagen. That is why the illustrations throughout the book are connected to real places in Copenhagen. Small city spaces, cafés, streets and corners, each of which has been given its own little place in the book.
If this book can offer even a small sense of appreciation while turning the pages – both for the bags, the city and the craftsmanship behind them – then we would like to say a heartfelt thank you.

A pattern book with more than 40 patterns
for large and small bags
At Go handmade, we work with more layers than just stitches, hooks and traditional patterns. Our mission is not only to create patterns, but to give crochet a new dimension – one that inspires more people to pick up the yarn and get started.
Crocheted Bags – for every occasion has been created as a complete experience. And by complete experience, we mean that it is not just bags being presented page after page. It is our crocheted bags placed within a visual expression – on a stage, you could say – with models, clothing and city life.
The book contains carefully developed patterns and introductions to working with, among other things, zips, bases, straps and assembly. Together with the illustrations, the bags are shown as they are intended: finished and ready to use.
The digital edition of the book is free and makes it possible to see the bags in small, entertaining film clips. Here, the models are followed as the bags are carried. One of the moments shows our model walking through the city with her Fur Lux bag – and Lily the dog by her side. At the very heart of it, our mission has been to show just how much crocheted bags are actually capable of.
