Glitter “deluxe” 60 g

Glitter ‘deluxe’ is a thread to work alongside the main yarn – not a yarn – spun so fine that it adds almost no bulk yet is surprisingly easy to knit or crochet with.

Supplied on cones, it sits stably on a yarn holder and is easy to work with in projects where a lift of elegance and bling is desired.

In its category it is one of the most stable and strong glitter threads: thin, but robust – and far less prone to snapping than many other glitter threads.

About meterage

The meterage stated for such a fine thread is always a range rather than a precise number.

For a 30 g cone we are roughly between 1,600 and 2,100 metres.

There are two reasons for the variation:

1. The nature of the thread – when the thread is this extremely fine, very little is needed for the total metre count to change.
2. The colours – pigments and dyeing affect the thread’s delicate structure slightly. Therefore, two colours can have different metre lengths even though they weigh the same.

Gram weight is therefore always the fixed and accurate value.

Washing

Glitter ‘deluxe’ tolerates normal washing together with the yarn it is combined with.
