Wooden accessories
We use wooden components in many of our crocheted projects – and wooden rings are without doubt among the most popular choices.
The rings are available in several sizes from 40 mm and up. When used in crocheted figures and activity toys for babies and children under three, they must be at least 50 mm in diameter.
The wooden rings are made of eco-friendly Schima Superba wood. And the special thing: all the rings are polished in a truly magical way. They are placed in large, old wooden barrels that slowly rotate for hours. Inside the barrels there are small, untreated wooden beads which, in nature’s own way, polish the rings to a smooth surface – but because wood is a living material, there may, in places, be the slightest hint of texture.
