Suspender clips
Pacifier chains and suspender clips – when crocheting a pacifier chain with a suspender clip, it is essential that the chain never exceeds 22 cm when pulled. The length is measured from the point where the cord passes through the loop on the clip down to the end of the pacifier attachment.
We always recommend crocheting tightly when it comes to pacifier chains – and preferably making the chain a little shorter from the start.
If a suspender clip is used for a pacifier chain (with a pacifier attached), the clip must have ventilation holes. If there are two holes, they must be at least 5.05 mm in diameter. If there are three holes, they must be at least 4.12 mm in diameter. In this way, the clip has the required ventilated area of at least 40 mm². The holes must also not be larger than 5.5 mm in diameter, as small fingers might otherwise get trapped.
