While the showroom quietly hums on,
Anna brings out yarn and needles.
There is always something that is just missing.
A jumper that needs to be finished.
Peter has the lunchtime shift.
He tucks the little one in snugly
and rolls the pram into the corner,
where it is quiet.
Because the little one needs a midday nap
to grow at their own pace.
Then Peter climbs back up to Anna again
and gives her a little kiss.
And the day continues.
